Gerwyn Price says there’s something he can ‘promise’ his fans after the Bahrain Darts Masters

The Bahrain Darts Masters was an interesting tournament to say the least.

Stephen Bunting came out as the winner in the middle-east, as a number of the PDC’s top players performed on TV for the first time since the World Darts Championships.

Luke Littler was eliminated early in his first tournament since becoming the World Champion, losing 6-2 to Gerwyn Price in the quarter-finals in Bahrain.

Littler averaged 105 against The Iceman, but that wasn’t enough as Price put in an almost career-best performance, averaging over 115.

Price’s form was enough to carry him through to the final , but, sadly for the Welshman, he couldn’t beat The Bullet in the final.

However, it was a positive weekend for Price, and he shared some messages on Instagram after the tournament.

Gerwyn Price promises he’s getting back to his best

Price, as ever, shared his opinion on his Instagram story after the tournament.

The Iceman promised his fans that he’s now getting back to his best after a rather disappointing 12 months on tour.

Interestingly, Price also said he was looking forward to the Premier League.

Price has had issues with the Premier League in recent years, often complaining about the schedule, but, this year, he seems to be looking forward to the tournament.

Price says that he’s going to get back to his best, and he certainly needs to.

Price had a very difficult 2024, as he failed to make a run in any of the big TV majors.

The former World Champion hasn’t been enjoying his darts as of late, and Price even spoke about quitting darts at one point.

Price hasn’t looked right on the oche for a little while now, but after thrashing Luke Littler with a 115 average at the weekend, it’s fair to say he’s close to recapturing his best form.

The 39-year-old has, controversially, kept hold of his place in the Premier League this year, but if he can bring the level of form he showed in Bahrain to the big arenas every Thursday night for the next few months, he will be a real threat once again.

Price was the Premier League runner-up in 2023, and he’ll want to go one better this time around.
