Sky Sports pundit Matt Edgar has shared his concerns about Gerwyn Price after the Welshman suffered another early exit.
The former world number one lost in the second round of the World Matchplay to Ross Smith two weeks ago and has only won one game in the Pro Tour events over the past two days.
He lifted the Nordic Darts Masters earlier this year but has otherwise struggled to hit top form.
Edgar graded Price’s Premier League campaign as an F and believes something isn’t right with the ‘Iceman’ after more struggles on the oche.

Edgar concerned with what he’s seeing from Gerwyn Price
Price was given a towelling in the opening round yesterday by Darren Beveridge, succumbing 6-2 to the Scotsman.
He only managed one victory today before losing 6-1 in the last 64, albeit to a near 105 average from Dirk van Duijvenbode.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Edgar said: “Gerwyn Price, I said something isn’t right with Gerwyn Price going into the Matchplay. He did get a win against Gurney but then lost in the next round.
“I still think there’s something not right with Price at the moment, and he went down 6-2, probably Darren Beveridge’s best result since coming onto the tour.”
Price lacking fire in the belly
The Welshman is one of the very best in the world when he’s on top form.
His game is embodied by his fiery passion and adrenaline-fuelled performances which have allowed him to capture some of the biggest trophies in the sport.
That passion has seemed to be lacking from his game over the past 12 months.
Price has been open about his health issues that he’s been battling and understandably that has taken priority over darts.
The 39-year-old, however, will be hoping he can rediscover his best stuff at the back end of 2024 when swathes of ranking money are up for grabs.
The game is still there in patches and if he can bring it all together, more major titles are in the Markham man’s future.
