Darts and football will be forever intertwined for a number of reasons.
Whether it’s fans singing about Yaya and Kolo Toure, Luke Humphries wearing a Leeds United-inspired shirt or Chris Dobey adopting a Newcastle United-themed walk-on whenever he’s in his hometown, there are a lot of links between The Beautiful Game and darts.
Luke Littler is, of course, darts’ biggest name right now, and the teenager has made it no secret which team he supports.
The Nuke is a die-hard Manchester United fan. He’s previously received well-wishes from Harry Maguire, while David Beckham messaged Littler after the recent World Championships.
Littler is a huge fan of the Red Devils, and in a message sent to LiveScore, as shared on TikTok, the Premier League champion has shared which signing he’d most like United to make this summer.

The Manchester United signing Luke Littler wants to see
Replying to LiveScore, Littler stated that Matthijs De Ligt is his dream signing for Manchester United this summer.
The Dutchman is currently playing for Bayern Munich, and Manchester United have been strongly linked with a move.
Interestingly, there are a number of comparisons to be made with Littler and De Ligt.
Much like Littler, De Ligt made a real name for himself as a teenager, captaining Ajax to a Champions League final at the age of just 19, while winning the European Golden Boy award.
Much like Littler, De Ligt was also one of sport’s great young prodigies, and now he could be headed to Old Trafford.
Who else does Luke Littler want Manchester United to sign?
This isn’t the first time Littler has spoken about new Manchester United signings.
Indeed, back in January, The Nuke asked United to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli.
“Who would you sign for real, in real life if you could? Littler was asked.
“I’ve got no idea, we’ve just signed Rasmus Hojlund for loads of money, but I’d probably go and get Osimhen from Napoli, one of the big ones,” Littler said.
Littler didn’t get his wish in January as Osimhen remained in Naples, but maybe he dream signing will come to fruition this summer as United continue to push to sign De Ligt.
