Luke Littler was crowned the new Premier League champion last night and Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has congratulated him.
At 17-years-old, the player defied the odds with a scintillating performance on finals night at the O2 Arena.
There aren’t enough superlatives in the world to describe the talented thrower and he was simply unplayable last night.
In the semi-final, he blew away Michael Smith 10-5 to set up a repeat of the World Championship final against Luke Humphries.
With the scores locked at 5-5 going into the interval, it looked as though a close final was going to be in store.
However, The Nuke had other ideas and in the first leg after the break, he smashed in a nine-dart leg and began cruising towards an 11-7 victory.
Maguire is a big darts fan and he reacted on Instagram following this dominant display of darting brilliance from Littler.

Manchester United star Harry Maguire reacts as Luke Littler wins Premier League
This was a night to remember for the 20,000 raucous darts fans at the O2 Arena.
For Maguire sat watching at home, it was a performance that he simply had to respond to on social media.
After the brilliant exhibition of darts from Littler, the United defender – who will miss the FA Cup Final this weekend – took to Instagram.
He shared a post of Littler holding the trophy, with the words: “Ever since I shown him how to play, he’s not done too bad. Unbelievable. Crazy talent.”

Luke Littler can dominate for years after Premier League win
Many top players have had to wait years to tick off their first major win in front of the Sky Sports cameras.
Littler has ticked one off after just five months of being a professional darts player on the PDC tour.
Now, the world is his oyster. Not only that but he’s placed the rest of the PDC tour on notice.
Litter beating Humphries saw him get one over the man who beat him in January’s World Championship final.
It could be that a new rivalry has now emerged. These two will do battle on many occasions over the year.
Maguire is right that Littler is unbelievable! Now, it will be fascinating to see what else the teenager can achieve between now and the end of the year.
