Since making his PDC debut in 2014, Stephen Bunting has become a fan favourite on the tour.
The Bullet has made the semi-finals of the World Championship, the World Grand Prix and the UK Open since making the switch from the BDO to the PDC a decade ago.
However, the move between the two organisations wasn’t the smoothest for the Liverpudlian player.
Indeed, Bunting did find it difficult to begin with in the PDC, but he’s now overcome one of his biggest issues.

Stephen Bunting had to adapt to ‘screaming’ PDC crowds
The PDC is a much bigger organisation than the BDO, and Bunting needed to adjust to the larger scale and the noise levels from the crowd.
Speaking to MDA Events on YouTube, he said: “The hardest thing that I found – moving from the BDO to the PDC was the venues.
“It was total silence, you can’t even have your phone on in the room, from that to playing in front of four or five thousand people in Blackpool all screaming your name.”
Bunting has clearly adapted to the rowdiness of the enthusiastic darts fans over the years and his game is all the better for it.
Bunting is now loving the crowds
It may have taken a decade, but Bunting finally secured his first-ever major PDC title in February, beating Michael van Gerwen in the final 11-7.
Bunting is now an absolute fan favourite, with chants of ‘let’s go Bunting mental’ emerging every single time he plays on a big stage these days.
The former BDO Champion now thrives off of his crowd support, and that helped him to a Masters victory.
Bunting was in imperious form at the Milton Keynes event, winning 37 of his 55 legs in 15 darts or fewer and never trailing his opponent in any of his last four matches.
Stephen Bunting has often been critical of himself, but The Bullet continued his form into June when he set the 4th highest-ever average at the European Darts Open during his 6-0 whitewash of Owen Bates, with an average of 117.12.
