Premier League Darts was fiery on Thursday night in Liverpool.

Indeed, the battles on the board weren’t necessarily the big talking point at the M&S Bank Arena on Thursday.

Luke Littler won the night, but he also made headlines by riling up the fans in the arena after Liverpool FC’s loss in the week against Everton.

Speaking on the Love the Darts Podcast, Stephen Bunting has been speaking about Littler’s antics, but, more importantly, he’s been speaking about his ability, claiming that he’s a class player who has been brilliant recently.

Luke Littler is class

Bunting spoke about the teenage sensation.

“I think Luke Littler. He’s given me some stick about the football results. I’m a massive red yeah. His darts do the talking don’t they and hopefully Liverpool can start playing like he does on the board. I understand why he got a lot of boos, but the guy is class, he’s playing really well,” Bunting said.

Luke Littler is becoming a personality

Darts is an interesting sport in that being a talented player isn’t always the most important thing.

Of course, we all love to see 180s and nine-darters, but the game is nothing without big characters.

Luke Littler may only be 17 years old, but he’s already becoming a real personality within the game who isn’t afraid to get into it with the fans in certain cities.

Make no mistake about it, this won’t be the last time we see Littler get on the wrong side of the fans in Liverpool, which, as a player from Warrington, is rather ironic.

Littler could’ve been something of a hometown hero in Liverpool, but, instead, he’s become a real pantomime villain on Merseyside.

Littler’s personality is shining through at the moment, and he’s proving to be good value both on and off the board.
