How Luke Littler feels about Erik ten Hag being sacked as Manchester United make big decision

Luke Littler may be the biggest name in darts, but The Nuke’s love of football is no secret.

Littler is famously a Manchester United fan. The teenage sensation has made it very clear that he loves the Red Devils, and he even met Alex Ferguson earlier this year.

Littler has received messages from David Beckham about his success, while Harry Maguire is also a fan of the Premier League champion.

Littler is often outspoken on all things Manchester United, and the Red Devils have been in the headlines again this week after sacking their manager, Erik ten Hag.

The decision to sack Ten Hag has sparked plenty of debate. Some are happy to see the Dutchman leave, while others believe he should’ve been given more time.

Littler may well have conflicting feelings over this decision, as he’s been a long-time Ten Hag backer.

Luke Littler wanted Erik ten Hag to stay

Littler told the BBC earlier this month that he didn’t want Ten Hat to be sacked by Manchester United.

The darts star claimed that Ten Hag should only be judged at the end of the season, backing him to turn things around after a slow start.

“I agree with what he said. He said don’t judge us now, judge us at the end of the season. Obviously it’s been a slow start and I agree, just judge us at the end of the season, whether we do well or we bad. It’s a bad start, but I’m sure we can pick up from it,” he said,

Littler also backed Ten Hag in the summer when speaking to the Stretford Paddock when the manager’s position was under threat.

“I think Ten Hag has to stay next season, we can’t let him go,” Littler said.

Luke Littler’s three Manchester United wishes

Luke Littler is always keen to share his thoughts on Manchester United, and in the summer, he named three dream signings he wanted at the Red Devils.

Littler named Matthijs De Ligt as his dream summer arrival at Old Trafford, and the Red Devils did get that deal done, but he also asked for three further signings when speaking to The Stretford Paddock.

“The main one, get Olise in, I’m going to say three signings, get Todibo in and find a new left-back because Luke Shaw has lost his legs now,’ Littler said.

Unfortunately for the teenager, United didn’t do any of these deals. Michael Olise ended up at Bayern Munich, Jean-Clair Todibo went to West Ham, while Luke Shaw remains United’s first-choice left-back when he is fit.

United are now searching for a new manager, and Littler will certainly be hoping that Ten Hag’s replacement can change the fortunes of the club after a terrible start to this campaign.
