World No. 6 Gerwyn Price has rocked the darts world with his comments surrounding his future in the sport.
The Iceman revealed that he wouldn’t care if he finished darts tomorrow should he fall out of the top 64 and many players and pundits have reacted to the shocking comments.
Former Premier League winner Glen Durrant has reacted to Price’s comments about his future.

Glen Durrant ‘surprised’ if Price falls out of rankings
Durrant claims that Price’s success is part of the reason he’s falling out of love with the touring game.
Speaking to Modus Super Series Darts, Durrant said: “Gerwyn Price has looked after his money. He’s bought businesses well, he’s bought properties well.
“When you have that desire to play in a local open for £200, it’s a great feeling to have, but when you have a few million in the bank and your income from your properties and businesses is paying for it, it’s difficult to practice.
“He contradicts himself a bit, he says about retirement, and then he says in seven years’ time. I’d be surprised if he went outside the top 64 in the next decade if he wants to.”
Price retirement highly unlikely
Despite all the talk, Price’s retirement is not likely to happen in the foreseeable future.
The Iceman is known for his controversial opinions, whether that’s leaving tournaments early due to playing conditions or complaining about the Premier League.
The fact of the matter is, Gerwyn Price is still playing darts to an unbelievably high level and it would be short-sighted to leave the game while his career is at its peak.
