It’s fair to say Damon Heta has immersed himself in UK culture since moving to England to chase his darts dream.
Damon Heta relocated from Australia to Leominster in Herefordshire in 2020 to capture a PDC Tour Card and play more tournaments and it’s paid off.
The 2024 UK Open semi-finalist has flirted around the top 10 for most of 2024 and has come into his own since moving to England.
The Heat has become one with locals and opted for an off-beat football team when picking which club to support.

Damon Heta supports Nottingham Forest
The 37-year-old committed to supporting The Tricky Trees in 2023 after attending Manchester United vs Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford.
It was the semi-final of the League Cup, in which Forest lost 2-0 on the night and 5-0 on aggregate, but that didn’t put Heta off.
The Australian has been a fan of Forest ever since and was even seen playing darts in a local pub with a Forest shirt in April 2024.
The Heat played a local darts tournament, even entering the ‘arena’ to Sandstorm by Darude flanked by security guards.
Heta’s move to the UK has paid off
Ever since Heta’s move from the other side of the world, The Heat has become a mainstay on the PDC Tour.
The Australian was awarded a Tour Card after coming fourth at Q-School in 2022 and since has won the PDC Autumn Series, the 2022 Gibraltar Darts Trophy, and the World Cup of Darts.
Heta’s form peaked in 2024, with two Pro Tour events under his belt and a semi-final appearance in the European Darts Open.
