Damon Heta names Chris Dobey as favourite opponent

Heta took part in an Instagram Stories Q&A with fans and was asked about everything from entrance music to other players on the tour.

The Australian revealed he loved to take on ‘Hollywood’ Chris Dobey due to the quality of the game and his outstanding record.

Asked who his favourite player to play against was, The Heat said: “Dobey. Always have a great game and I’ve never lost. But I’m sure that will change.”

Heta beat Dobey 8-4 in the final of Players Championship 4 to secure his first Pro Tour tile of 2024.

Heta was bang in form in September

The Heat is hitting form at the right time ahead of World Grand Prix and World Championship season.

The Australian’s doubling in particular has been impressive and he’s even set a PDC record in the tour card era.

According to the PDC’s Form Guide, Heta became the first player of the Tour Card era to hit most of his doubles in his last 200 legs with a 50.2% checkout percentage.

With an exceptional checkout game and consistent scoring, Heta has to be in the conversation for a major in the next year.
