World No. 1 Luke Humphries has called for a brand-new international location to be added to the World Series of Darts.

Cool Hand broke his World Series curse earlier this year when he captured his first win in the tournament at the New Zealand Masters in August.

Luke Humphries has cast doubt over playing Australia and New Zealand in 2025, but he’s called for an African leg of the international series.

Luke Humphries suggests Kenya for World Series

The current World Champion has taken to social media to declare Kenya as his ideal location for a World Series expansion.

Commenting on a clip from the World Championships qualifiers semi-finals in Kenya, Luke Humphries said: “World Series event in Kenya! What an epic atmosphere that would be!”

Cool Hand continued: “I want Kenyan commentators as well. This would 100% add to the excitement! They won’t have a clue what’s happening when me and Luke Littler are slamming treble 20s in left, right and centre”

African darts star Devon Petersen was delighted by Humphries’ endorsement, replying: “This is a stamp of approval for African Darts Group… it’s coming!!”

The World Series of Darts took place in Bahrain, the Netherlands, the United States, Norway, Poland, Australia, and New Zealand in 2024.

Humphries prepares for Grand Prix

Humphries is gearing up to defend his Grand Prix crown on October 7 by playing two Pro Tour events.

Cool Hand took to social media to say: “From Switzerland to Wigan! More Pro Tours for me from today, preparing for the defence of my World Grand Prix title next week. Time to put that work in”

Humphries defeated Gerwyn Price at the Leicester event last year to capture his first major TV title.
