Mardle says that his answer has changed very recently, claiming that he now thinks Luke Humphries has the best walk-on in darts after changing his song.

“I like Michael Smith’s. I just do. Every time I hear it I think of him and his wife. It has to have a meaning, and it has to be upbeat, and his is very upbeat.
“It does change, but for now it’s Luke Humphries, but can anyone beat Hawaii 501?”

Cool Hand used to come out to Cake by the Ocean by DNCE, which, as Mardle says, was rather dull in that it wasn’t easy for fans to get excited by this tune.
However, Humphries now comes out to I Predict a Riot by Kaiser Chiefs, and that is a much better fit.
Not only does this song have ties to Humphries’ beloved Leeds United, it’s an upbeat track that a lot of people find easy to sing along to.
Interestingly, Mardle recently claimed that he’s noticed Humphries is more confident since changing his walk-on.
