Ritchie Edhouse adds ‘bit of grit’ at European Championship
After his last leg decider victory over Michael Smith, Madhouse revealed he’d learned to hang in games and become difficult to play against.
Speaking to PDC TV, the 41-year-old said: “I’m on cloud nine at the moment. I’ve got a bit of grit in my game now.
“I might have rolled over previously, but now I have the belief, and my confidence went up throughout the game.”
Edhouse was 4-1 down in his game against Smith before a stunning 152 checkout in leg six inspired an extraordinary comeback.
PDC new boys make up European Championship semi-final
Edhouse and Woodhouse will be joined by Jermaine Wattimena in the final four of the Dortmund competition.
The Dutchman defeated World No. 1 Luke Humphries 10-4 in the quarterfinals, meaning there won’t be a single top 10 seed in the final four of the European Championship.
Woodhouse, Edhouse, and Wattimena will be joined by Ricardo Pietreczko or Danny Noppert, who are seeded 14 and 11, respectively, in the competition.
