Luke Littler has opened doors for PDC

Ever since his astonishing debut, Littler has become a genuine megastar and Porter believes he’s introducing the sport to new fans.

Speaking to The Standard, Porter said: “He’s been great for us in terms of opening new doors to a different demographic. He’s been on the Jonathan Ross show, he’s presented a BRIT award, he’s done a driving day with the Mercedes F1 team.

“Things that historically would have been difficult for darts to move into, he’s been able to take advantage of. It’s fantastic for him and for us.”

Littler has become a huge star on social media and has over one million followers on Instagram.

Littler is a genuine crossover star

After reaching the final of the World Championships at Alexandra Palace, Littler was catapulted into the mainstream and had to deal with overwhelming fame as a teenager.

Remarkably, that intensity hasn’t stopped The Nuke from playing some of his best darts and he’s continued the form that threw him into the limelight.

The 17-year-old has claimed tour European Tour titles, two World Series trophies, and two Players Championship crowns in his breakout year.
