Dirk van Duijvenbode secured his place in the last 32 of the German Championship by defeating Brendan Dolan 6-2 on the Euro Tour.
The World No. 21 is yet to show the peak of his powers in 2024, but he was impressive at the German event.
He’s set up a tantalising clash with his compatriot Danny Noppert in the next round and the 32-year-old has sent the Dutchman a message before their meeting.

Dirk van Duijvenbode warns Danny Noppert
The Titan has taken to social media to make sure Noppert knows he’s not going to bring their friendship into the equation during their match.
Posting on X, the Aubergenius said: “Really pleased to come through against Brendan yesterday, and it’ll be a great game against a great friend in Danny today.
“No friends on the Oche though. See you this afternoon”
The pair have previously played together in the World Cup of Darts, but it’ll be all business when they go head-to-head.
Dirk vs Danny is often a classic
When the two Dutchmen meet, they usually bring out the best in each other.
Noppert edged van Duijvenbode 16-11 in a brilliant match in the quarterfinals of the World Matchplay in 2022, while Noppert also toppled his compatriot 6-4 in the 2023 World Series Finals in Amsterdam.
If their collision in Germany is anything like those two, it’ll be a real treat.
