Bully Boy recently shared the big mistake he made after winning the World Championship in 2023 and he’s looking to turn his season around at the New Zealand Darts Masters.
The World No. 2 has won just one solo tournament in 14 months and he’s revealed his frustrations with his form and the big issue he needs to change.

Michael Smith is desperate to win again
Michael Smith is aims to changes his fortunes at the New Zealand Darts Masters in Hamilton and he’s highlighted the aspect of his game he needs to work on.
Speaking to Online Darts, the 33-year-old said: “I just want to win again. It’s getting boring now that I’m not winning and it’s annoying so I will be trying.
“I’ve just got to do something about these doubles and then I should be back”
The 2022 Grand Slam winner opened his campaign in Hamilton with a 6-3 win against Jeremy Fagg.
Smith lucky to win in New Zealand
Smith may have picked up the win against Fagg in his first-round clash in New Zealand, but he wasn’t at his best in Hamilton.
Despite the comfortable 6-3 scoreline, Smith conceded a host of chances to his opponent and Fagg missed the chance to lead 4-2 in the clash.
Bully Boy averaged 84 against the Australian, which is one of his lowest TV averages of the year, but he showcased his battling mentality to get the job done.
Smith will have to play better if he wants to topple his World Cup of Darts teammate Luke Humphries in the quarterfinals of the New Zealand competition.
