Luke Littler lost 8-5 to Peter Wright at the German Darts Championships finals in Hildesheim on September 1.
The Nuke was 5-2 up in the final against Snakebite and looked visibly tearful after the loss to the 54-year-old.
Luke Littler revealed after the final that he was emotional due to his friend’s father passing away.
The 17-year-old has shared a message with his fans on social media after the disappointing loss in the final.

Sharing a message to his 204,000 followers, the teenager was magnanimous after defeat to Wright.
He said: “Just wanted to thank everyone for the messages after the other night.
“Appreciate all the support, wasn’t the result I wanted but Peter played well all weekend so congrats to him for the win.”
Littler will next be in action at the World Series of Darts in Amsterdam on September 13.
Littler to crack the PDC top 5
Littler has had an exceptional 2024, with the 17-year-old picking up the Premier League trophy and multiple World Series events.
It is likely he will crack into the PDC top 5, which is unprecedented in his first 12 months on the tour.
With that in mind, The Nuke will be confident he can pick up more trophies before the year is out with the World Series finals and the World Grand Prix to come.
