Luke Humphries is having the year of his life on the PDC circuit, winning countless tournaments and blowing away all of his competition.
Other than the Premier League, Humphries is the reigning champion in every Sky Sports major, while he’ll have his eye on some of the ITV majors before the end of this year too.
However, even the best players in the world have their grips with the game, and speaking to Modus, Humphries has shared what he would change about darts if he could.
Humphries noted that he doesn’t think too much needs to be changed within the game, but he did say that he’d like to see the prize money go up in some cases if possible.

The change Luke Humphries wants to see in darts
Humphries said that he’d like to see more money in the game.
“What is one thing you could change about darts if you could?” Humphries was asked.
“I don’t think there’s anything that needs to be changed, just throw in loads more money I guess,” Humphries said.
PDC prize money keeps going up
Humphries says that he’d like to see more money in the game, but to give credit where credit is due, the PDC pay very well at the moment.
Humphries has the £2m mark in sight on the Order of Merit, while Mark Webster has recently been full of praise for the PDC for their distribution of prize money.
“I’ll make the comparison of when I first joined the PDC, you won a game and you got £200. What is it now to win a game? A grand? The PDC always put their money where their mouth is,” Webster said.
“After Covid I was gobsmacked that they put the prize money up. I thought they were going to freeze it or even cut it, but no. It’s a genuine career now darts.”
Of course, as darts gets bigger and bigger, prize money will go up and up as more revenue is generated by ticket sales and TV deals.
It may not be long before the prize for winning the World Championship closes in on that £1m mark.
