Luke Littler cemented his name in darting folklore by becoming the youngest World Darts Champion in history.
Luke Littler toppled Michael van Gerwen’s record by defeating Mighty Mike in the final at Alexandra Palace.
It’s a record that will likely never be broken again and it’s one which US Open Champion Emma Raducanu can compare with her own triumph.

Emma Raducanu wants to meet Luke Littler
In 2021, Raducanu became the first qualifier from the Open Era to win a Grand Slam singles title at the age of 17 and she knows a thing or two about the pressure of emerging into a sport at such a young age.
The 22-year-old has praised The Nuke for his dramatic rise to the top of darts and has called to meet the teenager.
Speaking to the media ahead of the Australian Open, the British tennis star said: “Amazing respect to him.”
Asked if she’d like to meet The Nuke, she replied: “Big time. I’d love to meet any top athletes and top individuals who have succeeded in their fields.
“I think darts is such a precision sport that I’d be so keen and interested to hear things that he had to say about it, and [how to] stay focused, because you can be so close but not necessarily execute the final shot. In that sense, it’s quite similar to tennis.”
Raducanu is currently number World No. 56 after recovering from injury in November. Littler, meanwhile, is gearing up to defend his Bahrain Darts Masters crown on January 16.
Luke Littler confirmed for Dutch Darts Masters
Littler will be looking to continue his World Darts Championship momentum in two Masters events in January.
After a stint in Bahrain, The Nuke has been confirmed for the Dutch Darts Masters in ‘s-Hertogenbosch on January 24 and 25.
Last year’s event was won by Dutchman van Gerwen, who will once again be competing alongside Luke Humphries, Danny Noppert, and Gian Van Veen.
