Gerwyn Price captured his second World Series event of the year at the Australian Darts Masters in Wollongong.

The Iceman defeated Brenton Lloyd, Damon Heta, Peter Wright, and Luke Littler to add to his Nordic Masters win in June.

The former World Champion revealed that something happened to him Down Under that he hasn’t experienced in 2024.

Gerwyn Price finally found some luck

In his narrow victory 7-6 win over Wright, Price believes he finally received a bit of luck that helped him topple Snakebite.

Speaking to the PDC, the 39-year-old revealed: “I probably should’ve lost to Peter. He got in front of me in the last leg, but you need a bit of luck.

“He slipped up and I took out a 106. That hasn’t been happening all year for me. I’ve been missing doubles and letting people in, and they haven’t been doing the same to me.

“I’m glad to have got over the winning line in the final.”

It was a different story in the final when Price dispatched Littler with ease and The Iceman revealed he needed motivation to stop ‘The Nuke’.

World Series a big success for Price

While Price has largely struggled for form in the big PDC events this term, his form has been stellar in the World Series.

The Iceman has not only won in Australia and Norway, but he also reached the final of the US leg at Madison Square Garden. He narrowly missed out on the title in an 8-7 loss to Rob Cross at the New York event.

Those results are a far cry from his early defeats in the UK Open and the World Championship and his seventh-place finish in the Premier League.

Price will be looking to add another World Series event to his collection at the New Zealand Darts Masters on August 16.
