Dave Chisnall captured his second Pro Tour title in September after winning the Players Championship 23 in Leicester.

Chizzy added to his Flanders Darts Trophy crown by defeating Chris Dobey 8-4 in the final at the Mattioli Arena.

The 44-year-old has been in a rich vein of form in September and he believes he could be in the conversation for the most in-form player on the tour.

Dave Chisnall’s form is ‘up there’ with the best

Chisnall’s performances in September have led the World Championship semi-finalist to believe he’s matching the world’s best.

Speaking to the PDC after his Players Championship success, Chisnall said: “I think my game is up there with the best in the world at the moment; I’m playing really well and my confidence is high.

“Six months ago I was losing first and second-round matches but then I started to battle and I’ve won some big titles.

Chisnall will be in action at the Players Championships 24 and 25 in Wigan on October 1 and 2.

Chisnall eyes up first major win

Chisnall was in inspired form in September and deservedly picked up two trophies in quick succession.

The 44-year-old averaged 108.72 and 107.19 against Mervyn King and Madars Razma in Leicester and has every right to believe he can capture the first major of his career.

Dave Chisnall recently revealed he ‘won’t stop’ until he lands a major PDC title and his next opportunity is the World Grand Prix in October.

After his victory, Chisnall told PDC TV: “There are some big events coming up and I normally have a good end to the year; I just need to get my TV form going now.

“I’m looking forward to the World Grand Prix; I’ve been hitting my doubles well so it should be a good one for me.”

The World Grand Prix takes place on October 7 at the very same venue in Leicester Chizzy picked up his most recent crown.
