The growth of darts as a sport since the introduction of the Professional Darts Corporation has been exponential.
The game is as popular as ever around the world and the players are becoming household names with every throw of a dart.
The over-the-top personalities of the players and the rowdiness of the crowds have turned the sport into a tantalising prospect and one that fans follow in a similar way to football.
Now, fans will be able to collect their favourite players in card form. Popular merchandise company Panini has announced that they’re releasing a PDC collection and fans are delighted.

Fans can’t wait for PDC card collection
Unlike the recent ‘boring Premier League announcement, darts fans are excited about the opportunity to collect their favourite players.
One fan said: “I’ve not thought about this and didn’t wait for it, but it’s even more awesome that it’s coming!” whereas another simply stated: “Yes, yes – and again: YES!”
One buzzing fan said: “Take my money!” while another declared: “As if I don’t spend enough money on collecting darts, I’m now going to be collecting darts cards!”.
Panini has become a staple in sports card collections, with the Premier League, Olympics, and England FA collaborating with the company.
PDC cards highlight darts’ mainstream appeal
This is another example of the sport’s huge growth in the last few decades after the sport has developed in popularity all across the world.
Darts is reaching far-flung places in the world in 2024, with the PDC packing out venues such as Madison Square Garden.
With the arrival of a genuine cross-over star in Luke Littler too, the sport looks like it will continue to evolve into a fully-fledged mainstream sport.
