Australian darts star Damon Heta has given an indication as to what situation might make him leave the game permanently.
The Heat has had an excellent 2024 season so far, winning a Players Championship event and cracking into the PDC top 10.
The UK Open semi-finalist shows no signs of stepping away from the game yet, but he has now disclosed what would make him leave darts for good.

Damon Heta would be quit darts if his wife told him to
While the Australian star is happy on the tour, he told Online Darts that he would pack it all in if his wife asked him to.
Heta said: “It’s not just me. It’s my wife as well, which is a massive part in this and we’re a team.
“And I’ll tell you what, if she was to say like next year going, you know what I’ve had enough of this life, this and that, and I want to go back home and mate, I’ll be on the next plane because I know how much she has sacrificed more than I have.”
Heta’s return home ends in disappointment
Heta recently returned Down Under to take part in the Australian Darts Masters in Wollongong, where he baffled ITV commentator Stuart Pyke with a decision he made.
The 37-year-old was looking to improve on his second-place finish in 2023, but it ended in disappointment for Heta as he was defeated 6-4 by Gerwyn Price in the quarterfinals.
Despite crashing out, Heta still managed to provide one of the moments of the tournament with his entrance in the first-round.
Entering the venue to the Australian folk song ‘Waltzing Matilda’, the audience singalong was one of the highlights of the entire opening round of games.
Heta still has a huge future ahead of him in darts, but it could all come to a premature end if his wife decides that a return to Australia is what she wants.
Family comes first for the PDC star.
