Colin Lloyd is one of the more underrated darts players of the last thirty years.
Despite winning the World Matchplay and World Grand Prix, he was never a star name in the sport surrounded by the likes of Phil Taylor, James Wade, and Adrian Lewis.
Jaws retired from the sport in 2016 and he’s revealed another legend of the darting world that he thinks doesn’t get enough love from darts fans.

Colin Lloyd praises Bobby George
The 51-year-old complimented darting legend Bobby George and believes he’s underrated in the sport.
Speaking to Online Darts, the 2005 Premier League runner-up said: “Why people write off Bobby so much is because they just see the showman.
“They don’t realise the class of player that he was. He’s a two-time runner up in the World Championships.”
With his outlandish character and iconic jewellery, George was one of the biggest characters in the sport in the 80s and 90s.
Bobby George helped make darts popular
Despite not winning a World Championship in the BDO, George’s outlandishness did a lot to put darts on the map in the 80s.
The 78-year-old was the first ever darts exhibition player and he won the prestigious News of the World Championship twice.
Away from the oche, George also helped present the BBC’s coverage of darts from the late 1990s onwards.
