Doubles is a fantastic format in darts.
We don’t get to see all that much doubles action away from the World Cup and certain Pro-am events, but whenever two players team up, it’s great to watch.
It makes for a fantastic dynamic as players are reliant on one another rather than just themselves in the game for once, and contrasting styles and set-ups can lead to genuine strategies being put into place in the game.
Speaking on the Darts with Jack Podcast, WDF star, Jarred Cole has been discussing who he’d most like to play doubles with.
Cole stated that he’d most like to play alongside his brother, but if he were looking to win an actual tournament, he’d want to play alongside Luke Littler.

Jarred Cole wants to play with Luke Littler
Cole spoke about who his ideal doubles partner would be.
“Who would be your ideal pairs partner?” Cole was asked.
“If I wanted to win a tournament it would be Luke Littler. But let’s say my brother Rex Cole,” Cole said.
Future England team?
England have always had a fantastic team to take to the World Cup, and perhaps in the future we could see Cole and Littler playing together.
For now, the England team is likely to be Luke Humphries and Michael Smith, but, as has been seen over the years, things can change quickly in this game.
At the respective ages of 23 and 17, Cole and Littler have so much time ahead of them.
Of course, Cole is way behind Littler in terms of where he is in the game. After all, he doesn’t even have a tour card at the moment, but he is a talented player – he’s hit two nine darters during his time, and if he can just refine his game a bit more, it wouldn’t be a shock if he became a bit of a star in the PDC.
Keep an eye out for Cole and Littler potentially playing together for England one day in the World Cup.
