The Premier League Darts 2024 regular season comes to a conclusion on night 16 in Sheffield, and there’s still so much to play for.

With three players already confirmed just one spot remains for the elusive spot in the Premier League Darts play-offs. Luke Littler, Luke Humphries and Michael van Gerwen have all secured their slots, but who will take fourth?

It’s between Nathan Aspinall and Michael Smith, who are both precariously close in the leaderboard, so this should be an exciting one.

With this, here’s Cues and Arrows Premier League Darts 2024 Night 16 predictions.

Quarter-Finals

Luke Littler vs Peter Wright

David vs Goliath here, but not in the way you would’ve expected a year ago. Littler’s meteoric rise has been nothing short of ludicrous in the darts world, and he should get past Peter Wright and through to the semis once again in Sheffield.

Nathan Aspinall vs Michael Smith

Wow. The show-stopper of the night that no one wants to miss. Whoever wins, takes fourth spot and advances to the playoffs. Mega. So who will prevail?

The Asp agonisingly missed out on finals night last year, which means we think he’ll muster up the strength to do so this time around. Albeit we believe narrowly.

Luke Humphries vs Gerwyn Price

Humphries will be looking to finish off in style, whilst Gerwyn Price will be desperate to salvage some dignity on the final night. But, let’s be honest – there’s one winner here.

Michael van Gerwen vs Rob Cross

MVG secured his spot last week in the play-offs, so will be feeling on top of the world. Rob Cross on the other hand finds himself just eight points off the bottom and hasn’t been throwing well for the entirety of the competition. The Dutchman takes this one.

Semi-Finals

Luke Littler vs Nathan Aspinall

Aspinall will be riding high after his victory against the Bully Boy, so can he pull off a shock on the night? ‘The Nuke‘ prevailed against him three weeks ago, so we think the 32-year-old is due some revenge. We’ll say he edges it!

Luke Humphries vs Michael van Gerwen

A match-up of Night 15’s final awaits in the semis. ‘Cool Hand‘ Luke came out on top last time, but only just. However, the world number one is in the form of his life. He’ll beat MVG once more in the Premier League.

Final

Can the Asp ride his luck one more time? Our answer is, unfortunately not. Humphries should finish strong heading into the play-offs, and we think it’s definitely his or Littler’s to lose at this stage.

Prediction: Luke Humphries 6 – 4 Nathan Aspinall
