Predictions
Semi-Finals
Luke Littler vs Michael Smith
‘The Nuke‘ against ‘Bully Boy’ to start us off, and we can only see one winner, despite Smith’s commendable efforts to get through to the Finals night and his impressive record against Luke this Premier League season.
However, Littler has, as he has been since his emergence, a force to be reckoned with in high-pressure situations. We simply can’t bet against him.
- Prediction: Luke Littler 11 – 8 Michael Smith
Luke Humphries vs Michael van Gerwen
You can never count out ‘Mighty Mike‘, but he faces a mightily tough task of overcoming the World No.1 in London, Luke Humphries has kept us in his fine form since the World Championships.
But has MVG got a point to prove? He’s been here and done this many times before and will be desperate to reclaim his throne. He thrives on the big stage, and we think he’ll do just that against Humphries. But by god, it’ll be close.
- Prediction: Luke Humphries 9 – 10 Michael van Gerwen
Final
Luke Littler vs Michael van Gerwen
The big one, 17 gruelling weeks comes down to a 21-leg showdown, which we think will be contested by MVG and ‘The Kebab Boy’ as the Dutchman calls him.
Thus far H2H, van Gerwen has prevailed five times and Littler six. For some reason, we just think the veteran will edge it again. He oozes class in pressurised scenarios, and there aren’t many bigger than this. MVG is our winner of the Premier League Darts 2024 competition.
- Prediction: Luke Littler 10 – 11 Michael van Gerwen
