Luke Humphries has a big few days ahead of him.

The World Champion heads to the O2 Arena on Thursday to play in Premier League Finals Night, and he may be tempted to stay in London to see his beloved Leeds United get promoted to the Premier League on Sunday at Wembley.

Indeed, Humphries has made his love for Leeds United no secret throughout his career, and speaking to TalkSPORT, he was presented with a rather interesting hypothetical dilemma.

Humphries was asked whether he’d rather see Leeds United get promoted on Sunday or win the Premier League on Thursday, and he gave a decisive answer.

Luke Humphries would rather win the Premier League than see Leeds promoted

Humphries responded when asked whether he’d rather win the Premier League or see Leeds beat Southampton this weekend.

“I’ve been asked that before. Obviously I’d rather be Premier League champion because in this life we have to be selfish. For me it’s a no-brainer, I’d want to be the Premier League champion and Leeds not to go up, but in an ideal world both would happen,” Humphries said.

Luke Humphries’ perfect week

This could well end up being the best week of Luke Humphries’ life.

Winning the Premier League on Thursday and then seeing Leeds get promoted on Sunday would be a double-header that he wouldn’t have even dreamed of at the start of this season, but now, it’s very much on the cards.

Of course, winning at the O2 isn’t easy, Humphries will have to get past Michael van Gerwen, Luke Littler and Michael Smith on Thursday before Leeds try to hold up their end of the bargain at Wembley this weekend.

Humphries could have the week of his life if he manages to win the Premier League and then see Leeds promoted back to the top-flight this weekend.
