Women’s darts has been on the rise over the past half a decade.

Ever since Fallon Sherrock shattered the glass ceiling against Ted Evetts at Alexandra Palace back in 2019, women’s darts has only grown in popularity.

Sherrock followed up that success by reaching a TV final in 2021 at the Nordic Darts Masters, while Lisa Ashton made history in 2020 by becoming the first woman to ever hold a PDC Tour Card.

Now, the Women’s Tour is thriving, while many female players continue to compete in the Men’s game too.

Taking part in a Guess Who? challenge on the PDC’s official social media, Luke Humphries has reserved some special praise for one women’s player, naming Beau Greaves as the best ladies’ player in the world.

Beau Greaves is the best in the world

Humphries was full of praise for Greaves when trying to describe her to Luke Littler.

“A two-time World Champion, lady player, the best in the world. The best lady player in the world,” Humphries said.

“Beau Greaves,” Littler replied.

Beau Greaves has a huge future

Humphries is right, Greaves is the best women’s player in the world right now.

She’s won back-to-back Women’s World Championships, and it may not be long before she’s actually competing at the top level in the Men’s game too.

Greaves is only 20 years old and she’s regularly posting averages that many of the top male players would be envious of – averaging a record of over 114 in a Modus Super Series event just last month.

Give her a few more years and she may well begin to ruffle a few feathers in the men’s game.

Humphries may well be the best male player in the world right now, and even he reailses how brilliant Greaves is.

At the age of just 20, as a two-time World Champion, perhaps Greaves could threaten Phil Taylor’s record of 16 world titles at some point in the future.
