‘I love him’… Rob Cross shares who his best friend on the PDC tour is

Rob Cross won the US Darts Masters at the weekend in a fiery final against Gerwyn Price.

Indeed, in a game that was largely dominated by heckling from the crowd, Cross triumphed against Price.

Tensions could easily have boiled over during the game as the crowd continuously booed Gerwyn Price, leading to intervention from Russ Bray.

However, both players were able to keep their cool and play some good stuff, and perhaps that’s due to the fact they’re such good friends.

Indeed, speaking to Online Darts after the game, Cross noted just how close he is with Price, stating that he’s probably his best friend on tour and that he loves him to bits.

Gerwyn Price is Rob Cross’ best friend on tour

Cross spoke about Price and his relationship with the former World Champion.

“I had a massive following out there and without them I don’t think I win the game. If you leave Gezzy alone he probably wins you know. Look it’s swings and roundabouts, sometimes you get it and sometimes you don’t.

“Gezzy is probably my best mate on tour, I love him to bits and if you’re winning it doesn’t matter. I’m sure he’s had a lot more money off me in the past.”

Cross and Price are close

Cross and Price are close friends, and that’s why the games between these two aren’t as fiery as others.

Price, as many fans will know, is never scared to give it a bit on stage and ruffle up a few feathers, but that is dialled back ever so slightly when he faces Cross.

These two seemingly have a real respect for one another both on and off the oche, and the fact that Cross named Price as the player he’d most like to play doubles with as well just goes to show how much he rates him as a player too.
