Glen Durrant has shared what the father of hot shot darts player Luke Littler has told him about his son’s development.

Nobody in world darts is creating headlines quite like Littler is during 2024.

After reaching the World Darts Championship final at the start of the year, he’s gone on to claim four titles already.

Littler saw his stock rise considerably with a superb run to the final of the showpiece tournament, earning a place in the Premier League in the process.

That campaign is going well too, with the 17-year-old already qualified for finals night having won four nights so far.

Now, former Premier League winner Durrant has shared what Littler’s dad has said about the player’s development.

Glen Durrant shares what Luke Littler’s dad has told him

As a teenager, it’s vital that someone is alongside the player to keep them grounded and ensure they can perfect their trade.

It would appear as though Littler has got it sussed and there seems to be no danger that he’s going to get carried away.

Durrant has now told the Weekly Dartscast what Littler’s dad has told him about his son and his development.

The former professional said: “He has good people around him, a good manager.

“I was speaking with his dad for the first time last week and he said that the manager is doing some fantastic things and he’s not overworking him.

“He’s doing things a bit differently, his dad has incredible belief in him and it’s an incredible team there.”

Luke Littler can dominate for years to come

It’s actually scary how good Littler can become during the course of his career.

To have reached a world final and won four titles already at 17 is quite remarkable given the quality of the opposition in the modern era.

With some big tournaments on the horizon, it will be interesting to see if he can claim a really big one this year.

It’s fascinating to hear that he’s got a good team around him though and that can only put him in good shape.

Littler is relentless when he gets going and if he continues on this upward trajectory he could dominate the game for years to come.
