Luke Littler is the main man in darts at the moment.

A World Championship finalist, a Premier League table-topper and a social media sensation, Littler is the man making all the headlines in the PDC right now.

The 17-year-old burst onto the scene late last year with his historic run at the PDC World Darts Championships, and since then, he’s been on an upwards trajectory.

Speaking to Online Darts, Chris Dobey has been discussing Littler’s rise to prominence, and he says that he’s noticed a change in the teenager as of late, claiming that he looks a lot more confident now on stage, stating that he was quite shy beforehand.

Luke Littler is more confident now

Dobey spoke about the young star and what has changed.

“Yeah it’s unbelievable what he’s done. It’s fantastic for the sport,” Dobey said.

“He’s brought all the eyes back to the sport and you have to give the lad credit. People were saying ‘Chris isn’t in the Premier League, and they’ve put Luke in, how can you do that?’ It was a no-brainer. They had to put Luke in. What he’s brought to the sport is unbelievable.

“You’ve just seen a change in the lad, he’s confident on that stage, he’s a shy little kid, people forget how old he is, you have to put that to one side and when he’s on stage that’s when he’s confident.”

Luke Littler is a star

Luke Littler has become an overnight star in darts, and he’s taken to it with such ease.

Darts is an incredible sport, but it’s the characters that make the spectacle, and now, Littler is transforming into his very own character.

Whether he’s playing the pantomime villain and winding up Liverpool fans or he’s earning the support of Alexandra Palace with some exhibition shots, Littler has an incredible stage presence already at the age of 17.

This young man is being managed brilliantly, and there’s no reason he can’t become the biggest star the world of darts has ever seen.
