Peter Wright is one of the most beloved darts players on the planet.
The two-time World Champion is a real fan favourite with his flamboyant style, immense talent and raw emotion on stage.
However, there are times where Wright can be frustrating as a player.
His form over the past 12 months has been infuriating for Wright and his fans, and many believe they know why Snakebite is struggling so much.
The former World Matchplay winner changes his darts more often than anyone else on tour, and speaking on the MacDC Podcast, Cameron Menzies has noted how he feels about this approach.

Cameron Menzies doesn’t like how often Peter Wright changes darts
Menzies spoke about Wright and his tendency to change his equipment.
“No, I don’t like it, I hate it. When I first signed with Unicorn and how they deal with changing darts I hated it. The mindset, I struggled with it,” Menzies said.
“Him, he seems to just get bored. He likes changing darts to stay focused and stuff. He’s trying to find that extra 1%. I can’t tell him how to play with what he’s won, but it clearly works for him.”
Wright will keep changing
As infuriating as it is, Wright will never stop changing his darts, especially when he’s not playing well.
As Menzies says, the Scot is always looking for that extra one or two per cent, and when you tinker like that, you’re never going to settle.
At the age of 54 now, Wright probably isn’t going to settle on just one set of darts between now and the end of his career, but he does need to find the right set to rediscover his best form ahead of the World Cup and the Matchplay because, at the moment, he looks a long way away from being capable of competing for those trophies.
At his best, Wright would be a favourite for any tournament, but, at the moment, his darts just aren’t going in properly.
