Luke Humphries tells fans to stop Leeds United chants

During his match with Bunting, darts fans chanted “Leeds are falling apart again” at Leeds fan Humphries and the World No. 1 has responded.

Speaking in his post-match interview, Humphries said: “It was kind of hard with the crowd behind you and they’re just chanting football chants all the time. Let’s leave football at home we’re at darts now.

“I was kind of like in a negative attitude where I thought, I’m just not going to retaliate to it because I just can’t be bothered you know?

“We’re here to play darts. I support Leeds United, everyone knows that but let’s leave the football chants at home.

“We’re darts players, we’re not footballers you know? So if I’m in a football field and Leeds are playing against whoever and they’re chanting it to me then I’ll accept it, and love it, and I’ll embrace it.

“I still try to embrace it but it’s just constant.”

Humphries plays Ricardo Pietreczko in the second-round at the Mattiol Arena on October 9.

Humphries needs to learn to deal with the jeers

It’s well-known that Humphries is a Leeds United fan and he’s never been shy in stating his love for the Yorkshire club.

The World No. 1 has worn Leeds shirts to Premier League games and enters arenas to Leeds anthem ‘I Predict a Riot’ by Kaiser Chiefs.

If he’s not prepared to receive stick for his football club, he should maybe step away from adorning himself in Leeds United regalia so regularly.
