There really is no stopping Luke Littler when he gets into his stride. Just ask Jermaine Wattimena.
The Nuke was in devastating form as he smashed the Dutchman 16-2 in a ridiculously one-sided quarter-final.
Littler was relentless from the off and actually missed double 12 for a nine-darter as early as the second leg of the match.
Dan Dawson called the display ‘astonishing’ on commentary for Sky Sports and Littler scored incredibly well.
The Warrington native checked out on three figures on four occasions and after reaching the semi-final he’s now on the cusp of the top 10.
There was an amusing moment in the sixth leg and it’s caused quite a stir on social media.

Darts fans in total agreement as Luke Littler checks out 167
There is definitely a swagger with Littler and he just loves the television tournaments where he can get up on the stage.
The youngster is extremely talented and in the sixth leg of the match he took aim at 167.
With Wattimena unable to finish he paused after leaving the bull and did consider setting it up for his next visit instead.
After a pause to check his opponent’s score, Little took aim and pinned the bull to take the leg.
Fans loved it and darts followers were in total agreement on social media.
Another fan commented: “Littler is banging.”
Another fan kept it short and sweet, simply posting: “Kid’s special!”
One fan enjoyed the reaction of Wattimena who looked completely dejected. He said: “Wattimena’s reaction is so good.”
Finally, one darts fan said: “He’s such a showman.”
Littler can break Michael van Gerwen record this weekend
If Littler can go on and claim the title, he will end Michael van Gerwen’s reign as the youngest-ever winner of the Grand Slam of Darts.
Van Gerwen is currently the youngest winner, collecting the title in 2015 when he was just 26.
Littler would blow that out of the water with a win in Wolverhampton this weekend and the 18-year-old has to be considered the heavy favourite for the title now.
The dominant display really caught the eye and Wattimena found Littler in unplayable form for large parts of the contest.
Littler will break more records with this sort of form on the oche and it’s so exciting to look at what he can achieve during his career.
The 18-year-old is seriously special and the fact he can entertain – as showcased with this 167 – can only bode well for the future of darts with Littler a huge part of it.
