Since its inception in 2005, the Premier League Darts has been one of the most exciting chunks of the calendar as eight of the best players in the PDC look to win the major tournament.
There have been just nine different winners of the tournament in 20 years, with Michael van Gerwen holding seven trophies and Phil Taylor winning the tournament six times.
Last year saw Luke Littler claim his first-ever major tournament when he defeated Luke Humphries in the final – and hit a nine-darter while doing so.
Here are our predictions for the Premier League Darts, including who will make the playoffs, the tournament dark horse, and how many nine-darters will be hit.

Who will make the play-offs?
The current PDC Top 3 Humphries, Littler, and van Gerwen look certain to make it to finals night at The O2 on May 29.
The other spot is more difficult to predict, but it looks like it’ll come down to either Gerwyn Price or Stephen Bunting.
Bunting is by far the man who is in more form, but he’s never played the format and looked burned out in the final of the Dutch Darts Masters against Rob Cross.
With experience in the format, Price has every chance to nab that fourth spot and earn a place to fight for the trophy.
Play-offs: Luke Humphries, Luke Littler, Michael van Gerwen, and Gerwyn Price
How many nine-darters will there be? And who will hit them?
Last year there were two nine-dart finishes hit as Price and Littler produced the perfect leg with The Iceman doing so on Night 10 in Sheffield and The Nuke sucker punching Humphries with one in the final.
Despite hitting 24 nine-darters in his career, van Gerwen is yet to hit the perfect leg in the Premier League Darts which surely can’t last too much longer.
Premier League Darts nine-darters: 3 (Luke Littler, Michael van Gerwen, and Gerwyn Price)
Who will get the highest overall average?
In 2024, only one player averaged over 100 after all 17 nights of the tournament with Humphries 100.46.
That still wasn’t enough to take home the whole trophy as Littler’s 99.20 did the business for the teenager.
With the quality of darts rising year on year, at least two stars should end up with over a ton after week 17.
In this case, Humphries and Littler should end up with that number and it’s hard-pressed to look past them for the final again.
Ton-plus averages: Luke Littler and Luke Humphries
Who will be the dark horse?
Price has been teasing a return to form in the last couple of tournaments, with impressive outings in the World Series with a semi-final appearance in Den Bosch and a comprehensive victory over Littler in Bahrain.
Week-to-week play seems to suit The Iceman and the livelier crowds and format should mean he thrives in this environment.
This could be just what Price needs to help him out of his slump and allow him to attack the PDC Top 5.
Dark horse: Gerwyn Price
Who will win the Premier League Darts?
This tournament is one of the few competitions Humphries is yet to win and he’ll be determined to put that right in 2025.
After losing in the final to Littler in 2024, and missing out on the World Darts Championship, Humphries will be like a wounded animal in the touring competition.
After impressing at the World Darts Masters too, Humphries has to be made favourite for the Premier League Darts.
Overall winner: Luke Humphries
